I am a certified life and career coach and my company is Bright Future Coaching, LLC. After spending about 28 years in corporate America, I made the decision to make a major change. I found the stress from my corporate job was affecting my health and I knew I needed pay attention and change things. I decided I wanted to be a coach, started my owner business and put my focus on helping others. I love my job and it makes me feel fulfilled, unlike any other position I have ever held.
I received my coaching training from The Life Purpose Institute in San Diego, California and began my business in April 2008. As a life coach, my focus is on helping women who are challenged by life's difficulties improve the quality of their lives. As a career coach, my focus in on helping small business owners become more successful and profitable. Both of these services utilize my strengths and provide me with a great deal of personal satisfaction.
What is the most important thing that you want people in Venice to know about your business?
The one thing I would like people to know about me is that I take my role as a coach very seriously. I work extremely hard for each client and do everything I can to help them meet their goals and be successful. I possess a wealth of knowledge and strong work ethics.
Can you tell us a bit about yourself and your life in our community?
I moved to Florida in 1995 and purchased a home in Venice in 1996. I love living in Venice and am convinced it is the best place in the world to live. I have been involved in many organizations during my time in Venice and try to give back to the community in a variety of ways. I volunteer at the Women's Resource Center and teach classes there on a regular basis. I am a member of the Business and Professional Women of Englewood and Venice and currently serve as First Vice President. I am also the First Vice President for the Florida Federation of Business and Professional Women. In addition to these positions, I have been a member of the Board of Directors for the United Way of South Sarasota County for the past 2-1/2 years. As a member of the Venice Chamber of Commerce, I serve on the Member Events committee and participate in many of the organization's activities.
In addition to the other activities, I also prepare and present workshops on a variety of interesting and helpful topics. Whenever possible, I speak to groups and have about ten motivational topics I present. A list of these topics and information about my workshops is available on my website (www.brightfuture4u2.com)
Last, in your view why should people in Venice support not just yours, but any locally owned businesses first?
Certainly I would hope that the people of Venice would support me and my business as well as the businesses of others in the community. Small business owners work extremely hard to provide quality service and products, knowing full well that this is a small community and their reputation is the most valuable asset they have. A good reputation is earned by hard work, honest business practices, and consistently providing excellent service and products. Those are things that I strive for every day in my personal and professional life.
